Shag Rock is an Australian indie-rock group with a captivating story that started back in 2011 but truly became "serious" in 2015, according to the band themselves. The group's name is inspired by a rock off North Stradbroke Island, a place of childhood memories for the band members.

Career Highlights:
In early 2015, Shag Rock signed with the independent label Airlock Records, which was founded by Powderfinger's Ian Haug.
They released their debut self-titled EP in April 2015, marking the beginning of their musical journey.
In 2016, Shag Rock released the catchy singles "Roadtrip" and "Sunbleached Girl" as a prelude to their debut studio album, "Barefoot," which dropped in February 2017.
In 2021, Tayla Young became a part of the group, adding her unique touch to their sound.
In July 2021, Shag Rock presented their second studio album, "Double Overhead," which delves into the exploration of mental health, aiming to encourage emotional openness and vulnerability.
"Double Overhead" earned a nomination for Queensland Album of the Year in 2022.
In July 2023, Shag Rock treated their fans to the release of "Zero G's," showcasing their continued creativity and evolution.
